Madrugada Re Opens

After three months of closure of all Hotels and Lodges in the Bvumba Mountains,clients are now allowed to visit within certain parameters.
Madrugada Lodge is pleased to announce it is open for bookings.

Winter comes to the Bvumba

The sunny clear skies during the first days of May 2020 and the bite of chilly Evenings ushers in the beginning of winter in the Bvumba Mountains.

Madrugada Lodge however has been closed for business over the last two months  but there is hope of re-opening sometime in May 2020.

A new cottage has been built at Madrugada Lodge and is ready for occupation.

As a result of the Global clampdown on limiting travel due to the Corona Virus the Lodge has been in lockdown mode.

This has given us time to put the final touches to the completion of the new cottage .

A Fantastic February for Madrugada

After a very quite January 2020,Madrugada Lodge had a extremely busy February.
The highlight of the month was a large holistic group of twelve ladies who did a retreat over the first weekend in February.

A Bumper Festive Season at Madrugada Lodge

December 2019 was busiest festive season on record for Madrugada and most other hotels and Lodges in the Bvumba area.
Visitors came as far afield as Netherlands,Germany and the South Africa stayed at the Lodge however most guest were from Harare ,who waned a break from the hectic city lifestyle.

The Vumba mountains like most of Zimbabwe received record high temperatures in the last week of October 2019.
However this did not deter participants in the Annual Vumba Marathon which took place on Saturday 26th October.

Most hotels and Lodges were fully booked for the Marathon weekend..

Spring is in the Air in Vumba

The beginning of September brought some early rains to keep the forests green and moist followed by warmer days and nights.

Visitors from mainly Harare in the first week of September kept the Lodge busy at the end of school holidays as were most hotels and cottages in the Vumba area.

Busy August Long Weekend at Madrugada

The August long weekend brought a hive of activity in the Bvumba area with holiday makers poaring in,mainly from Harare to have a relaxing few days away from the hectic city lifestyle.

Madrugada like most Hotels,Lodges and cottages was fully booked till Tuesday 12th August.

Visitors were taken on forest walks plus trips to the mystical Chinamata waterfall not far from the Lodge.
