Winter arrives at Madrugada

Vumba has experienced  a very mild winter this year,however on 16th July 2019 temperatures dropped dramatically and a cold spell set in.In the day time it warmed up to around 21 degrees Celsius  with clear skies and glorious sunshine.

Madrugada has had a busy month so far in July ,with guests from as far afield as Denmark visiting the Lodge .

With the onset of winter Madrugada Lodge had a quite May ,however did receive External visitors from Italy and Mozambique.

April 2019 and the Easter holiday period was extremely busy for Madrugada Lodge and most Hotels and Lodges in the Vumba were fully booked over the Easter weekend.

Madrugada  also hosted a group of artists from Harare who did a film and video foto shoot on site and also at  a nearby waterfall:

Cyclone Idai Strikes the Vumba

On Friday evening 15th March 2019 Cyclone Idai which originated off the Mozambique coastline hit the Vumba mountains and Madrugada Lodge surrounding area was badly effected by the havoc and devastion caused.

A Quite March at Madrugada

March 2019 has been relatively quite for bookings at Madrugada.
However a young group visited last week end and were taken on a tour to the nearby waterfalls where they a lot of fun.

Madrugada is Expanding

February 2019 was a very quite month for Madrugada Lodge however we received some guest from South Africa and as far afield as Denmark.

Madrugada is building a new Lodge out of natural stone with fantastic views into Mozambique over Lake Chikamba in the background.

A Bumper Christmas Period

December promises to be a bumper Christmas and festive season for Madrugada Lodge and most other Hotels in the Vumba area.
Madrugada received visitors from all corners of the Earth in November and December including Holland,Germany,Finaland,France, U.S.A. and the United Kingdom.








Vumba Marathon in October

Vumba came alive with the Vumba  Marathon on Saturday 27th October 2018 over 1000 participants took part in the Event.

All the Vumba Hotels,Lodges and cottages were completely full for the weekend of the Marathon,including Madrugada Lodge.

Vumba Marathon Coming

Madrugada is fully booked for the weekend of the Bvumba Marathon which is an annual Event due to be held on 26th October 2018 in the Vumba Mountains of Zimbabwe.

With the warmer days of summer in October Madrugada forest is looking very beautiful with the Mountain Acacias sprouting their new leaves
